About Us: monthly meetings
Monthly meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the second Monday of each month. It is best to come around 6:30 to participate in the hospitality activities going on prior to the meeting.
We meet at the Cornerstone Community Church, 11111 Dry Creek Road, Auburn CA.
Directions
Traveling west on Hwy 80: take the Bell Road exit. Turn right onto Hwy 49 (Grass Valley Highway). At the third light turn left onto Dry Creek Road. The church is on the right.
Traveling east on Hwy 80: take the Hwy 49 exit and turn left at the off ramp light. Turn left onto Dry Creek Road. The church is on the right. (Depending on time of day it may be faster taking the Bell Road exit.)
What Happens at Meetings
Our monthly meetings generally include Guild business, "show & tell" and a presentation by a guest speaker. In addition, members enjoy particpating in our Block of the Month, Treasure Chest raffle and Fabric Exchange.
Members may also pick-up and/or drop-off community service quilts, peruse our lending library and sign-up for workshops.
To encourage friendships, each member is asked to fashion and wear a handcrafted nametag to Guild meetings. After a two-month grace period, a 25-cent donation is asked of members not wearing a nametag.
Guests are welcome to attend two meetings at no charge; however, after that we ask you to become a member of the Guild.
GUILD GREETERS
Our mission is for New Members and Guests to easily become familiar with the many activities and benefits the Foothill Quilters Guild has to offer.
At our meetings look for us at the welcome table. We will be giving tours of our Committee/Activity tables and a general overview of what our Guild does. In order for our General Membership to easily recognize you, a “New Member/Guest Badge” will be available for your use during the meetings. Please feel free to ask anyone a question. Also, we will have a special seating area for you, where a Guild Greeter is always available.
As a new member you will be invited to join us in Small Group information meetings from time to time, as well as an Annual Tea held in your honor.
Please feel free to call us whenever you have a question about Guild activities, or even a quilting question! Laura Rucker 530-878-8097 or Lynn Cooper 530-888-7236
