Each month at our regular Guild meetings, we collect non-perishable food for the
Auburn Interfaith Food Closet. The Auburn Interfaith Food Closet provides food for
those in need, once every 30 days. "Emergency food" consists of at least nine meals
per person in the family. Consequently, they are always in need of donations, and
this is another way we support our community.
Each month we’ll have a suggested donation and a request to bring in one can, box,
mix, etc.:
- November - canned fruits
- December - baby food, diapers size 3 or 4, formula
- January - meal in a can like chili, ravioli, stews, spaghetti
- February - peanut butter
- March - soup, but not Top Ramen or Broth
- April - packaged mac & cheese or meal helpers
- May - dried beans, rice, split peas, etc
- June - Bisquick or other pancake mix, syrup
If the suggested donation doesn't work for you, ALL donations are gratefully accepted.
All items are taken to the Food Closet on Tuesday, after the Monday night meetings,
with a note from FQG.
