Join us November 9, 2009, for our own Laura Nownes who will entertain us with her Shared Stitches and Stories." This lecture is a delightful trunk show of Laura Nownes’s quilts, from her first to her most recent, with lots of charming stories stitched into each one. Laura is a national figure on the quiltmaking scene, as well as the successful author of many books and patterns. With Diana McClun, Laura wrote the enormously popular book Quilts! Quilts!! Quilts!!!, which has sold more than a million copies. Laura is also a frequent teacher at Empty Spools Seminars and countless quilt shops.

Sensu Quilt

You’ll make Laura Nownes and Diana McClun’s elegant Sensu (Fan) quilt in this workshop, using their pattern ($10.29, available in class), three templates, and light, medium, and dark values in a variety of patterns and textures. Easy strip piecing and gently curved templates make this design suitable for all skill levels. You’ll find a photo of the quilt on the website, under Patterns.
